Volunteer
The YYC program depends greatly on volunteers. Opportunities run the gamut from office help to concert management.
Families can contribute time to the choir from home, at rehearsals, on tours or at a concert in the following broad categories:
Troubleshooting
Chaperones
Uniforms
Ticket sales
Decorations
Concert Set Up
Ushering
Fundraising
Stage Crew
We are in need of volunteers to help with monitoring our singers each week on campus during our rehearsals. This is primarily to assist our students from the parking lot to the rehearsal rooms should there be late arrivals or early departures. All volunteers that work within the presence of our singers will need to have a fingerprint clearance card. We have a fingerprinting information document to help in ascertaining and IVP Clearance Card. Please notify one of the directors if you would be willing to volunteer in this capacity. There is a cost involved in acquiring this card. If pain is a stretch for you, contact the artistic director to discuss reimbursement. Please retain any receipts.

SECTION C: APPLYING FOR AN IVP CLEARANCE CARD through the Arizona Department of Public Safety
If you need fast turn-around, you can get your own fingerprinting and background check directly through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZ DPS). You will submit your own online application, then go have digital fingerprints done according to their instructions.
• Turn-Around is usually within 2 weeks once the paperwork and fingerprinting is done.
• There are two fees associated with the process that will total roughly $75 - $85. Keep your receipts if your volunteer organization has said they will reimburse you. Don't expect reimbursement without them agreeing in advance, or plan to donate the cost as part of your wonderful volunteer gift. HUSD does not reimburse these fees.
1. Go to PSP.AZDPS.GOV - The public services portal, Arizona Department of Public Safety
2. Select “Fingerprint Clearance Card” until you get to a screen where you can apply for a new card. Click on “Request a replacement / Apply for a new card”. Click “Continue” at the bottom of the screen.
